Frequently Asked Questions
What is Your Approach to Therapy?
As a Marriage and Family therapist I take a systems approach to counseling. I believe that the people and environments that surround us impact our mental health. As your therapist I want you to know that I see you and that I hear you. I will work with you to make the changes you need to find fulfillment and joy in your life. I want you to know that whatever it is you can have the confidence to be vulnerable knowing that I will still be there. All my clients are unique, and I will tailor my approach to fit your individual needs. I use a variety of treatment models including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. As a Christian Counselor, I have been trained on how to integrate faith and spirituality into the counseling process. This enables me to offer a holistic approach to the healing process. I believe that being a therapist is a calling and one that I take great joy in. I know that everyone who comes to me is there on purpose and it is my privilege to connect with you on your journey.
